The period of YPP will run for a minimum period of one year with possibility of conversion into a full time Consultant Position at EMC. For the first year, EMC will select up to five YPs. As part of this program, YPs will be given exposure to EMC’s unique and exciting consulting assignments on key topics such as Circular Economy, Climate Change and Environmental and Social Governance to understand the full canvas of policy and practice for mainstreaming sustainability. The candidate will also be given an opportunity to gain experience on project management and get to observe client Interactions.

About the Program

The YPP is a one-year program with the potential for conversion into a full-time Consultant position at EMC. Up to five Young Professionals (YPs) will be selected, each receiving competitive monthly remuneration based on candidate’s qualifications and experience. Successful candidates will also earn a Certificate of Competence upon program completion.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy, Economics, Policy, Social Development, or Planning.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong letters of recommendation.
• A compelling Statement of Purpose outlining your goals and passion for sustainability.

Preferred additional attributes include strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective written skills and a passion and enthusiasm towards sustainability. An analytical and curious mindset with demonstrated ability for strategic thinking, with a capability to recognize value add of sustainability is what we would like to nurture.
