At EMC, more than ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฌ% of our team members are women, and even more inspiring is that over ๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿฑ% of our senior team members are women leaders driving impact and change.

We marked the occasion with a ๐—ช๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—”๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป, where colleagues shared notes celebrating the women who inspire, support, and lead with strength and empathy. EMC's CEO

As EMC enters its 30th year, we are at a moment of reflection as well as renewal.

We are pleased to share that Ms. Sivaranjani Subramanian will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer of EMC, effective 1 January 2026.

Sivaranjani has been closely associated with EMCโ€™s journey and its evolution over the last decade. She understands the organisation not only through its assignments and outcomes, but through its values, working culture, and long-term ambitions. Her appointment is therefore not a change of direction, but a continuation, with sharper focus and accountability.

Over the past year, EMC has worked through a deliberate Transformation Plan, shaped with guidance from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business under its Stanford Seed Program. The โ€œStanford Processโ€ forced us to examine who we are, how we create value, and what kind of institution EMC must become in a more demanding sustainability landscape. In this context, Sivaranjaniโ€™s appointment as CEO is a natural and necessary part of that journey.

We wish all the success to Sivaranjani in taking EMC to the new heights.

For most of my life, I have been the one holding the chalk โ€” or later, the marker pens. Whether at IIT Bombay, a factory floor in Vietnam, a boardroom in Mumbai, or a workshop in Berlin, I was usually the one explaining, interpreting, or provoking thoughts.
So when I enrolled in the ten-month Stanford Seed Transformation Program, the Professor inside me raised an eyebrow:

Life enjoys testing our assumptions. A week-long in-person module, another week-long Zoom sessions, a Business Transformation Advisor dissecting organizational purpose and asking: Where do you want to go? How? And why? There comes the homework, the transformation studio where we get into the famous โ€œStanford processโ€, the Leadership Labs where five fellow companies speak openly about their adaptive challenges. And at the end you go through a 360-degree evaluation of your leadership to discover yourself.

One question stayed with me after the program ended. My Professor Friend asked:

The canvas of sustainability has matured but expectations have shifted. Clients now seek depth, verification, measurable outcomes, sustainable finance, and trusted guidance โ€” not from a consultant, but from a consul.
This is why this moment matters for EMC.
We are refining our practice areas, articulating our culture more deliberately, and preparing for a future that demands both rigour and imagination. This transition needs people drawn to responsibility rather than comfort โ€” those who value ethics, intellectual clarity, curiosity, and empathy, and who see culture as lived practice, not as statements on a webpage.๐‘†๐‘ก๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘“๐‘œ๐‘Ÿ๐‘‘ ๐‘†๐‘’๐‘’๐‘‘ has done its work. It has seeded a renewed vision and an implementable action plan for EMC.In time, that seed will become a tree with deep roots โ€” one that shelters, nourishes, and invites birds and butterflies to its branches, its flowers carrying a subtle yet enduring fragrance.

Tisser - Upcycling textile waste visit

At Environmental Management Centre Pvt Ltd (๐„๐Œ๐‚), we believe in walking the talk when it comes to sustainability.EMC is currently helping Tisser to develop metrics on ๐œ๐ข๐ซ๐œ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ by processing the data generated at the massive upcycling initiative launched in Navi Mumbai. We were pleased to collaborate with Tisser India to host an insightful session on Upcycling Textile Waste on ๐“๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ๐๐š๐ฒ, ๐Ÿ“๐ญ๐ก ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ, at our Mumbai office. The session was led by the passionate team at Tisser, who shed light on the environmental impact of textile waste and the powerful role upcycling can play in building a circular economy. For some of us, it was an eye-opening experience, making us rethink the textiles we use every day, and how our habits can shift toward conscious consumption by giving a second life to the used textiles.A special highlight was the display of beautifully upcycled products, which were also made available for our team members to purchase. It was inspiring to see creativity and sustainability come together!
The session wasnโ€™t just about sharing knowledge but also it sparked conversations, reflection, and commitment among the teams. We also spoke about challenges and barriers to change.
Letโ€™s continue to make mindful choices in our consumption patterns and move to sustainable living.

The companyย specializes in environmentally friendly microbial solutions across several application domains. Like EMC, Organica is in the same cohort of Stanford Seed program and their business resonates with EMC in providing smart sustainable solutions.

This interactive session emphasized the critical role of ๐ž๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐œ๐ฌ, ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐œ๐œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐š๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ in shaping a strong organisational culture. One of the key takeaways was understanding the fine line between responsibility and accountability โ€” and how it directly impacts individual productivity and team synergy.
Ms. Bhattacharya shared inspiring insights on leveraging AI in HR processes, like role-specific interview questions and psychometric tools โ€” highlighting how tech can support fairness and efficiency in hiring. Dr Kamath walked us through his career and story of the stupendous growth of Organica. We especially appreciated the discussion on small yet impactful practices, like using digital calendars to streamline meetings and being more mindful in our daily interaction, that contribute to employee well-being and trust.
A thoughtful group activity at the end encouraged us to reflect on small changes each of us can bring into our daily office routines.
Sessions like these not only reinforce our commitment to continuous learning, but also help EMC to foster a more collaborative, ethical, and tech-savvy workplace. We look forward to more collaboration with Organica.

Environmental Management Centre Pvt Ltd (๐„๐Œ๐‚) jointly with FEDERATION OF INDIAN EXPORT ORGANISATIONS (FIEO)-Delhi conducted an industry consultation on โ€œ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐š๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐‘๐ž๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌโ€ at Niryat Bhawan, New Delhi on November 28, 2025.

Representatives from key export sectorsโ€”including Garments, Home Textiles, Leather, Engineering, Electronics, Gems & Jewellery, and Agriculture/Dairy/Meatโ€”actively engaged in discussions on critical global requirements such as CBAM, EU Deforestation Regulation, REACH compliance, ESG reporting, and emerging sustainability-linked market access norms.

Dr. Shilpi Kapur from ๐„๐Œ๐‚ shared insights on evolving international sustainability frameworks and the strategic steps Indian exporters must take to enhance their preparedness. We also appreciate the context setting and valuable interventions from Ms. Manisha Jha, ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ โ€“ ๐…๐ˆ๐„๐Ž, emphasizing the need for rapid alignment with global sustainability expectations.

For India, as a major global exporter, these evolving standards present a dual reality of significant challenges and emerging opportunities. Indian exporters must urgently assess compliance risks and strengthen their sustainability practices to maintain competitiveness in increasingly regulated international markets. Key priorities include establishing robust environmental management systems, implementing carbon footprint reduction strategies, and achieving internationally recognized sustainability certifications. Furthermore, exporters must invest in supply chain transparency, adopt circular economy principles, and develop comprehensive ESG reporting capabilities. The transition also demands significant technological upgrades, workforce skill development, and strategic partnerships with sustainability service providers. Without proactive adaptation, Indian exporters risk losing market access, facing regulatory penalties, and ceding competitive advantage to more sustainability-aligned competitors in global value chains.

At EMC, we remain committed to supporting Indian businesses in building robust, future-ready, and compliant sustainability practices that strengthen their global competitiveness.

Together with FIEO and industry partners, we move toward a greener, responsible, and globally competitive export ecosystem.

We will be next conducting an industry consultation jointly with FIEO-Kanpur on 17th December 2025.
