Santosh Shidhaye

Santosh is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and has over 28 years of experience in the field of environmental sustainability and management. Santosh is a British Chevening scholar of the Commonwealth and is trained in the USA, Canada, and the UK. He has worked on select international assignments in Sri Lanka, Egypt, and the UAE.

Santosh has extensively worked on management of environmental and social risks in infrastructure projects. He is well versed with the performance standards of the World Bank Group and the safeguard policies of the ADB.

Santosh’s competencies include Occupational Health and Safety management, audits, and due diligence of construction sites with specific focus on road projects, metro projects and tunnels bored with NATM method.

Santosh has worked in private sector MSME segments such as hospitality, textile wet processing, tannery, paper & pulp, and distillery. He has managed advisory assignments in cleaner production, 3R, ISO certification, wastewater treatment, water and energy audits and circular economy in industrial clusters. Santosh led team of professionals involved in policy review for identification of opportunities to develop common infrastructure projects in PPP format. Santosh and his team developed and implemented bankable projects in textile, auto ancillary, Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing, Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs), and common environmental infrastructure such as Chromium recovery plants, and industrial parks.
