Ajay Sachdeva CPEA, AcSAP

Ajay is an Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability professional with over twenty-five years of experience spanning across five continents covering 12 countries. He has been delivering advisory, training, software, and assessment support in the field of Management Systems, Regulatory Compliance, Environment Health & Safety Excellence, EHS Due Diligence and Sustainability. Earlier, he has served some of the largest global plants in the field of solar panel manufacturing, Integrated Aluminium Complex, Backhoe manufactures and Urea manufacturing.

Globally, Ajay is the only professional registered as Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) from Exemplar Global Certification, US and as Associate Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (AcSAP) with AccountAbility, UK. With a strong panache for new service product development, he has led the team for development of multiple innovative products for training of auditors and software tools for EHS Legal Compliance, Environment and Social Governance Assessments, and Ethical Procurement. Ajay is a passionate trainer and has conducted more than 200 programs covering over 5000 professionals from various Indian and multinational companies. He is one of the most experienced RC 14001 auditors in Asia. He served third-party management system certification agency in the capacity of Head of Operations and Head of Sustainability.

Ajay has been involved in ESG Assessments as per IFC, ADB, AIIB, NIIF, CDC and DEG requirements. He also worked with Bilateral and Multilateral Development organizations since the beginning of his career. These include DEG Germany, CDC UK, IFC, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, United Nations Environment Program, US Aid for International Development and Canadian International Development Agency and The World Bank.

Ajay authored and co-authored numerous publications like “ODS Phase Out: A guide for Industry” a joint publication of CII and United Nations APAC for Centre of Technology, and “Strategy for ODS Phase Out in Refrigeration & Air-conditioning Sector in India” for The World Bank.
