Sudeshna Roy

Environmental Planner

Sudeshna has joined EMC as an Environmental Planner. Previously, she was working at World Resources Institute (WRI), India.

She has pursued bachelors and masters in Geography (with specialization in Urban and Regional Geography) from Presidency University, Kolkata. Her keen interest in the processes affecting the environment has urged her to pursue Masters in Planning (with specialization in Environmental Planning) from School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Delhi. She has interned in the Policy, Research and Innovation division at WWF Secretariat.

Being a research enthusiast, she has presented and published her research work in several national journals. During her Masters at Presidency, she had won an award for presenting her work on “How Adequate are the Urban Amenities in Kolkata?” at a conference at Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai.

She is a voracious reader and traveler, a trained classical dancer and a certified graphologist. She likes to paint during her leisure time.
