EcocityAction Plan for Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad |

Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad (SMK) Corporation commissioned EMC to prepare an Ecocity Action Plan. A launch workshop for the Project was conduccted on February 1, 2009 in the presence of Hon Minister Jayant Paril, Government of Maharashtra. Preparation of the plan will be highly consultative process over three months with series of workshops with key stakeholders. The Action Plan will be guided by an Enviromental Policy Statement thhat SMK Corporation will adopt. Actions will include plans, programmes and projects that will help reduce ecological footprint of SMK region and improve quality of life of the citizens.
