Jessica Bernard

Environmental Economist

Jessica supports the Circular Economy engagements of EMC. She contributes to the projects focusing on Circular Economy Leadership and Resource Efficiency.

Prior to joining EMC, Jessica completed her MSc internship at UNIDO Headquarters in Vienna working on RECP initiatives and circular economy. Jessica has an MSc in Urban Environmental Management from Wageningen University in the Netherlands and an Integrated MA in Economics from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. At Wageningen, she specialised in Energy Management and Circular Economy. Jessica is also interested in data science and delves into data analytics and Econometrics when she is not immersed in environmental pursuits.

Jessica has experience in energy management, climate change and industrial resource efficiency. She worked with Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Studies for her MSc thesis on Energy Behaviour. She completed internships at the Environmental Change Institute - University of Oxford, J-PAL South Asia and Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim, Germany.

An ardent sustainability enthusiast and an avid reader, Jessica enjoys travelling, watching movies, running and training for marathons. She also loves agriculture and wishes to start an organic farm in her home state someday.
