Mayuri holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from Dr. B N College of Architecture, Pune and a Master's degree in Urban and Regional planning with a specialization in Environmental planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad.
She is passionate about preservation of natural resources along with sustainable urban and rural development.
Her master's thesis was focused on understanding the Water and Urban development paradigms through a case study of Bangalore's lake systems. She had the opportunity to present and publish her research work on "Sore Sight for Eyes: Examining Visual Pollution in city of Pune" in an International Conference on Healthy Cities, Pune. She has completed a certification course on climate change conducted by Centre for United Nations for International Paris Climate Summit. She participated in a summer school at Coorg which was focused on understanding rainforest ecosystems, their rich biodiversity through sustainable living practicum.
Her areas of interest include Water resource management, Climate change, Environment Impact assessment, Ecosystem services, Climate responsive and sustainable design.
